September 24th through the 26th
Jodie and Matt rode up with me and the girls to Utah. We were going up there because Chris was going to the MTC. We left Friday afternoon and had Cracker Barrel for dinner. We were all pretty tired. Grandma Dee, Grandma Becky, Jennifer and her kids came up in Jennifer's car. After we ate, we had a little further to drive to get to our hotel.
The next morning, we all got ready and went to Park City. We parked and then walked up the street with all the shops on it. We didn't get to go in any shops because we had five kids with us. We ate at a pizza place and that was hard enough.
After we ate, we went and found a bus and rode up a little ways where they had all the fun stuff. They have this big slide that you get to by taking the ski lifts and then you ride down on a sled with wheels kind of thing.
First, Jodie and Matt took Jacob up there while we let the little kids go on the little kid's rides. When Jodie and Matt got back, me, my girls, my mom and Jennifer all decided to go. The worst part, the ski lift. The girls had no fear of it at all. It was the three big girls that were chicken. Every time one of the girls moved, we got worried. It seemed to take forever to get up there. It was beautiful scenery but not much fun on this ride.
After we got to the top, we had to get off the ski lift, which Jennifer almost didn't do. It was pretty funny. We all got our sled things and then we had to walk them all the way over to the slides. Mackenzie rode with me and Madi rode with Jennifer. It was fun once you knew what you were doing. It had curves and little hills. A pretty fun ride, but it wasn't worth having to ride the ski lift again.
We got ice-cream and then headed back to the bus stop. We didn't know what stop to get off at because we were hoping there would be one closer to where we parked. I think we stayed on there too long because the bus driver pulled to the bus depot and asked if we knew how to ring the bell to have him stop. We all felt stupid. Then we had to wait for him to take a little break. While he was off the bus we practiced ringing the bell quite a few times. Then when he got back we knew which stop we were going to get off at so when he got close, we rang the bell.
We got back to our cars and headed back to Provo to our hotel. My dad, Dave, Josh and Chris drove up to Utah this morning so they were there by the time we got back.
We all went to dinner that night at a cool restaurant where you go to a salad bar and then these people come around to your table with different meats and if you want some, you turn your stick to green and if you don't, you turn it to red. It was a little hectic in there because of all the kids.
Sunday, we all got up and went to the lobby of the hotel for breakfast. Then we went to Verna's for lunch. It was nice to see everyone. Me, the girls, Jodie, Matt and Josh all had to go home early, so we left that afternoon and headed home.
