+ monday madi went on a field trip to the springs preserve. she kinda forgot about it that morning while she was picking out her clothes. (white shirt and skirt - it was a little chilly) she had fun and enjoyed going out to see all of the animals.
+ monday kenzie had an interview for the junior honor society. (she eventually got the letter that she made it)
+ tuesday madi went to the UNLV to perform with the choir. when they got back to the school, they had pizza.
+ kenzie also had pizza at school on tuesday. for getting straight A's.
+ wednesday madi started the knitting class again. this time it's intermediate/advance level. she's learning the purl stitch right now.
+ wednesday kenzie took the day off to go visit dr truman...
and got braces on her top teeth. they'll need to pull those up before they can put some on the bottom.
+ max has still been doing great with his reading tests every thursday. he's on list 14 now, which includes... that, high, when, were and was
+ when max is taking care of business in the bathroom, he likes to make conversation with anyone who can hear him. the other day he asks "how do you know if a baby is a boy or girl? they're both bald?" i started to explain how each has different parts (without going into too much detail). and he stops me "oh... ok... i know... alright... " and he was done talking.
+ friday max and i went to have lunch with madi. i got port of subs and the two of them mcdonalds. we ate in the courtyard and then went and did some shopping at the book fair afterward.
+ max and madi took in their teacher appreciation gifts this week. thursday they took in the starbucks giftcards and then on friday, the teacher subway art.
+ friday night we went to the sedillo's to help celebrate mason's 9th birthday. it was a water party, with a lot of boys, jumping on the trampoline, sliding down the water slide and racing down the slip and slide.
+ saturday we all went out to the bertrand's to celebrate jude's birthday/mother's day. the food was delicious and healthy. the kids spent as much time as we allowed them in the pool before it was time to come in so the adults could watch the fight (boxing). the fight was pretty boring.
+ sunday we all went over to the sedillo's for mother's day linner. we tried to be good and picked up port of subs on our way over there. everyone else had olive garden and it smelled sooo good. after i was full, i was no longer jealous. ;)
it was a good week.
as with everything, I am way behind on blog-reading too. I finally was able to catch up with some friends' blogs tonight. loved the starbucks gift card idea - I totally borrowed that one for a gift for Zack's teacher. Looks you had a fun-filled week during Spring Break and Easter. I was gone when the girls went to Disneyland. Syd and Chase had a lot of fun. Did Kenzie happen to get any pics with Syd and Chase and the other Sydney in them? Not sure if they remembered to bring their camera or not. So smart to pick up food on Mother's Day! Methinks I should tell my husband he needs to do that for next year!
