Water Day [June 7]

05.30.11 to 06.05.11

 

[M] 05.30.11 - memorial day... waited in traffic to get out to the railroad trail by the lake... hiked up through the tunnels... heard bats in the first one and saw mt bighorn sheep at the third one... it was pretty nice outside... a little bit of a breeze that helped keep us cooled off... we came home afterward and kenzie and i ran to albertsons to get a few things to make macaroni salad and 7-layer dip... we had 30 minutes to throw it all together when we got home... darric helped and then we were off to the sedillo's for a bbq... the kids managed to get wet with the hose on the trampoline... we heard a bit about jen's trip to germany and ate...

[T] 05.31.11 - spin... max did not want to go to school... i waited for a phone call from his teacher, but never got one... and he ended up getting a 10 for the day... trip to wal-mart... grocery shopping at trader joe's... went to jodie's for a meeting... mom went and picked us up cafe rio (i think she was tired of jimmy johns)

[W] 06.01.11 - quincy's 5th birthday... body pump... quick trip to wal-mart (again)... then darric and i went to kenzie's school for her award's assembly... for getting straight A's... there were only 47 students in the entire 6th and 7th grade... very proud of her... we brought her home with us... we were allowed to take them, but we couldn't bring them back... we waited for max to get out and then we went over to the cheesecake factory for lunch... darric went to work while we waited to go pick up madi... then we picked up markela and dropped her and kenzie back off at the school for a yearbook meeting... it was only a 20 minute meeting... we ran through mcdonalds for ice-cream cones then took markela home... i threw the enchiladas together then took madi to dance... darric came home to sleep for a little bit... then headed to st george to work all night after dinner... 

[Th] 06.02.11 - darric got home while i was on my way to spin... after school, max and i went to target to get quincy a bday gift... while we were there, kenzie texted me to bring her a towel... she had water day today and forgot to bring one... so i just bought one and ran it over to the school... they had a big water slide, a slip and slide, water guns, tug o' war and regular volleyball... kenzie said she beat a few boys at the tug o' war... 

[F] 06.03.11 - elliptical + track... kenzie stayed home sick... jennifer and jodie came over and we made a father's day craft and chex mix and i started a summer reading journal... that night, me and madi went to grace's dance recital... she went to dinner and then home with grace... i picked up a sonic drink and came home... kenzie was watching max... darric came home and back to work again... 

[Sa] 06.04.11 - body pump... quincy's butterfly birthday party...  with pancakes and the breakfast casserole i put together last night... max stayed with his dad and they went to get him a new baseball glove...  madi had a dress rehearsal at the studio at 3:15... kenzie and i dropped her off and went to target (for a new blender) then bath and body works... went to mike chang's for a bbq... the kids had fun with the playstation and nerf guns... 

[Su] 06.05.11 - darric had to go to caliente today to run a call... so, he was gone most of the day... i got my 2010 disneyland blurb book done... the kids decided to watch the disney dvd's after seeing what i was working on...
