June 20th through the 26th
Tuesday we went to the cheap theaters to see Finding Dory with the Sedillos and Meltons. It was a cute movie. I think everyone's favorite part was seeing Dory when she was little. One of my favorite parts was the short film at the beginning. It was titled Piper and when that popped up, you should have seen the excited look on our Piper's face.
That evening, we took Kenzie to Sunset Park to play sand volleyball. She was invited by one of the new school coaches. She was asked to invite her team. Probably her High School team, but she texted her club. Kiona and Jay came and they played for a little while before getting kicked off the reserved court. Her coaches from last year were there playing on another court. It was a bit awkward and funny. After waiting about an hour for someone to leave their court, they were finally able to do more than just pepper the ball back and forth. We left there around 10:45.
Wednesday I got in the car at 8:00 to run to Wal-Mart for some groceries and I had a warning that my tire was low. Darric was on his way out too so he checked it real quick and saw the nail right away. So I went right over to Discount Tire and about 45 minutes later, the tire was all fixed. It was too late now to go to Wal-Mart so I just went into Target and got my groceries there. Along with some new shorts and a shirt for me.
That night, Max and I finally watched Zootopia. He even popped each of us a bowl of popcorn.
Thursday, Madison went in for her oral surgery.
Friday, I took Kenzie to two thrift stores in search of a windbreaker jacket to take camping. The only decent one we could find was a pretty mild LL Bean jacket. We were hoping for something on the bright and shiny side.
On Saturday, Mackenzie and Madison's friend, Catherine, went to open gym at SRF from 10:30 to 12:00. That evening we went to my parent's house to celebrate dad's birthday. We enjoyed some Angelina's pizza and root beer slushies. And the kids swam until they were forced out of the pool.
The only thing worth documenting on Sunday was the make-up face Madi did on her thigh. Who needs paper when you have almost 6 feet of skin.
