July 25th through the 31st
The kids and I came home from Utah on MONDAY. And the rest of the week, I camped out on the couch because I was not feeling well. By Wednesday, Madi was getting sick too.
Kenzie had her senior pictures on WEDNESDAY. The place was over off Eastern and Patrick. We were probably there for about an hour. The waiting room was full when we got inside. (Thank goodness for the bag of cough drops I had with me, otherwise I would have been a big embarrassment) When it was Kenzie's turn, we went to the back room with another group of people. Some students brought different outfits to change into and some even brought their dogs with them. Kenzie just wore the cool black drape blouse thing for her yearbook photo. She also got a picture taken for her school ID. I can't believe this whole SENIOR thing is already happening.
FRIDAY night, Kenzie went and played some more sand volleyball with her HS coaches while Bryan and Max played some basketball, played catch and drove Max's RC truck around a bit.
Re: Being Sick
Four out of the five of us caught some kind of nasty cough/cold. Kenzie is the only one that dodged it this time. Max started us all off. He was sick while we were in Bryce Canyon. The nights were the worst for him. He'd get a fever and wake up coughing. But, during the day, you'd hardly even know he wasn't feeling well.
About a week later, Darric caught it. He couldn't even get out of bed the first few days. He felt crappy for at least a week. Waking up in the middle of the night with coughing fits almost every night. I thought I was safe on my half of the bed, but I guess not. A week later, I got it. I think I started off with what Max had. Where I could handle it during the day and then get a fever at night. But when we got home from Park City, it seemed to get worse. I felt like crap all day, had no energy at all and had a hard time breathing at night. After a week and a half of putting up with it and not feeling any better, I decided to take myself to Quick Care. They said it sounded like I had pneumonia. And I got a Rx for a Zpack. A few days later I was feeling much better.
Five days after I got sick, Madison got sick. She spent several days on the couch camped out next to me. I think we started feeling better around the same time. She still had crud in her lungs a couple weeks later though which made it hard to participate in volleyball practices.
