October 24th through the 30th
It rained on and off on Monday. It was Kenzie's senior night and I decided last minute that we should probably get her something. So I ran out to the mall and looked around. Thought about doing some kind of jewelry but decided to do socks and a headband (for volleyball) instead. I swung by Hallmark to get a card and saw their new Christmas figurines. (I really think I need these ones, they're pretty cute)
Right before we left the house for the game that night, Max and I ran to the party store to get a number 9 balloon. It was a big balloon and I was so glad we got it.
Wednesday, Kenzie had to go back to the dermatologist. Darric came with us so he could ask questions. After reading through the Accutane booklet, we decided it wasn't worth the risk. Possible side effects are depression, suicide, severe brain problems, bone and muscle problems, stomach problems and more. No thank you. We paid another $80 copay and the doctor just said, if we change our minds about the Accutane, we always have it as an option. Then she wrote three prescriptions for Kenzie and sent us on our way. One of the prescriptions was not covered by our insurance and would cost $500. Luckily Darric found a coupon on their website and we can get it for $75. Still a lot for a cream, but much better than 500 freaking dollars.
That night, the girls had their second game against Green Valley. It was Madi's teams last game of the season.
After school on Thursday, Madison went to a bowling meeting. She's thinking about trying out since her volleyball coach will be also be the bowling coach. After picking her up, we took Max to Goodwill and two Halloween stores to try and find him a costume. Most of the costumes he liked had masks and you couldn't wear masks to school and I wasn't dropping $80 for the squirrel costume that he really liked.
At about 5:30, I took Max to Joey's and he went with him and his sister to Silvestri for the Halloween dance. They had fun walking around (probably being super cool), playing some of the games they had set up and enjoying a dinner of Skittles and Pringles. They stayed until the dance was over and then helped Joey's sister and the rest of STUCO clean up. Max spent the night at their house.
The girls went to the football game at Silverado against Coronado. Silverado won. I made my first batch of caramel popcorn for me and Darric to enjoy.
Friday (no school - Nevada Day), we went out to Moapa Valley and that evening we carved pumpkins. Beckam and Quincy came home with us and stayed the night. Saturday, they hung out until that afternoon. The boys jumped and Quincy helped Madi clean her room and rearrange it. (I think Quincy should come over once a week) Kenzie went with Kaylynn and Catherine to Michaels to get stuff for their costumes.
That evening, Max went to his friend Jacob's Halloween party. (We still didn't find him a costume to wear) Joey was there too. They had a great time hanging out together. Putting dry ice in their orange soda, enjoying candy from the cauldron, busting moves on the dance floor and just walking around (probably being super cool). We picked him up at about 9:30.
While Max was at his party, the rest of us were at home watching Money Monster (with George Clooney and Julia Roberts). It was ok.
I don't remember what we did on Sunday. But, that evening, Max made some pretzel mummies. No one else wanted to make any.
