On Monday and Tuesday I pulled all of the weeds/grass that has grown up through the rocks on both sides of the house. To make the weed pulling a little easier, I get a cardboard box, flatten it and use it to kneel down on.
TUE | 07 Max had soccer practice at Cactus Wren park from 6:30 to about 7:45. It's starting to warm up a little, but was still chilly tonight. When we got home, Madi made us crepes. Well, she makes the mix, Kenzie cooks them and then Madison fills them up with Nutella, strawberries, ice-cream and whip cream.
WED | 08 At 1:00 today, I (along with Kenzie and Eli) went and walked with my mom during her lunch break. Just around the block where her office is at. It was nice out. I even got a teensy bit sweaty. That night, Kenzie had practice at Green Valley from 6:00 to 8:30.
THU | 09 Kenzie left for her volleyball tournament in Denver, CO. Madi went and kept stats for the boy's first volleyball game at Desert Oasis. I took Max to his soccer practice and didn't even need my blanket this time (was glad I still brought my jacket though).
FRI | 10 I went to Lowe's to look at their flooring and on my way out, I bought a new houseplant and some seeds for the planter in the backyard. Madi had to go to Coronado this evening for the boy's volleyball tournament (LVI). I had to take her at 3:10 and pick her up around 7:45. Darric watched some Gold Rush that evening.
SAT | 11 Madi was up super early this morning. She got picked up at 6:30 (by one of the boys on her team) to go out to Centennial for more LVI. It was a long day for her. She didn't get home until about 9:00 that evening. And she rode home with a different boy on the team (and his dad) because the other one drove a bit recklessly.
Darric and I went to Max's first soccer game at 2:00 this afternoon at Anthem Hills park. It was warm outside today. Max started in the game and then took turns coming out with some of the other non-experienced soccer players. He did pretty awesome, especially considering he didn't really know what all he was supposed to be doing. They ended up losing 1-9 and their coach wasn't very happy with how they played. Oh well. Max said it was fun and that's all that matters right now. We all got a snow cone before heading up the hill out of the park. They weren't as good as Purple Penguin, but they helped cool us off a little. That evening, the three of us watched as John Cena hosted the Kids' Choice Awards on Nickelodeon.
SUN | 12 Daylight savings time!! We might lose an hour of sleep, but the extra sunshine we get instead is glorious. Kenzie's team lost their game today, so Jess got them on an earlier flight home. They arrived around 4:20. We picked up a sick Kenz from the airport, brought her home and then went and got stuff to BBQ. That's what Darric likes to do when there's extra daylight. After we ate hot dogs (hamburger for me), homemade mac and cheese and chips with chili/cream cheese dip (Darric was really craving jalapeno cheese dip but we couldn't find any) the four of us played some cards games. Madi watched the boys play a lot of cards in between their volleyball games this weekend.
Oh... and Max pulled out another big tooth at bedtime.
