I can't even tell you how many photos I've scrolled past on Instagram of people's waffles. In the beginning, the people sharing these photos either lived in Utah or Arizona or were visiting. But then I started noticing people in Vegas visiting the colorful food truck in town. So I thought it would be a good idea to follow the waffluvstg Instagram account to find out when they would be here. And not even two days later, I was excited to see they posted about a Vegas visit.
The morning of, I sent Jen and Jodie a text to see if they'd be interested in going to get one. And they both said yes.
While we waited for 10:00 to roll around, we walked the aisles of Michaels. We were in there for an hour which was too long for Miss Posie because she kept letting us know we were "taking fo-evah" I think the waffles were worth her wait though.
And the waffles were worth my wait too. I tried not to let on to anyone that I was partaking of the liege waffle for the very first time. A Waffle Love virgin. I was worried about getting one of the fancy ones because I really just wanted to take in the yumminess of the waffle. So I went with the plain one and added cream and strawberries. Jen and Jodie both laughed at me. Since they were going all out with their Cinna Love and Banana Cream Pie waffles. (Which were both very yummy. I got to try a bite of each.)
I was going to be nice and take half of mine to Darric at work. But when he said "why don't you just stop at IHOP" I decided he didn't get to have any. And once I started eating, I couldn't stop, so it's a good thing I didn't have to share my waffle. But, Posie was all about sharing the cream. First she started with finger swipes across my plate and then she moved on to running a plastic knife across the stuff and licking it off.
I'll continue following along on Instagram because it's probably necessary that I taste all of their waffle creations, right?!?
