July 11th through the 17th
MONDAY was 7-11 and TUESDAY was our 19th Anniversary. Kenzie and I spent the morning (7:30 am to 11:30 pm) at the CSN Cheyenne campus for a volleyball camp. There were coaches from four schools there... CSN, La Sierra, UCLA, Fullerton and the University of San Diego. There were 14 other girls in the morning session. Jordan (from Nevada Jrs.) was the only one Kenzie knew.
I'd have to say Kenzie was the most impressive player there. Even if the Fullerton coach called her tiny. Darric couldn't be there because he had to work in Bullhead City, but he sent at least 15 text messages asking for details and how things were going. Oh, let's not forget that Kenzie hit a ball that hit the wall and broke the phone that was hanging on it. Jordan thought it was the funniest thing.
For dessert that night, I got the stuff for Kenzie to make mini cherry cheesecakes. (Since cherry cheesecake is what we had at our wedding 19 years ago) And then Darric had to go back to work. Kenzie went out with Bryan tonight and when she got home, she went straight into the bathroom, coming out a little later to show off the little $3 crab that she bought at WalMart.
WEDNESDAY, Jodie brought her kids over and we went up into Inspirada to look at model homes. We took Posie with us because her face was getting red and itchy from Joe kissing her. She had fun getting in every shower and lifting toilet seats. After looking through four neighborhoods, we went and met mom at Five Guys for lunch.
That night I had to take a picture of my ten year old for the last time. In the morning he would be another year older.
THURSDAY was Max's 11th birthday!! We celebrated with donuts and swimming. That night the girls had open gym at SRF from 7:30 to 9:00. I dropped them off and picked them up because Darric wasn't feeling well and had to go to work around 10:00.
FRIDAY, Darric wasn't feeling any better and stayed home sick. That afternoon, Max and I went and got a quick car wash with rainbow soap.
SATURDAY and SUNDAY, Darric was sick in bed and Kenzie and I were in Riverside, California. Sunday, at 4:00, Bryan came and picked Madi and Max up and went to my parent's house for the July birthday dinner. They had hamburgers and hot dogs, went swimming and enjoyed cookies and ice-cream for dessert. Max got some cash from Grandma and Grandpa Steward and a box of Classic Legos from the Meltons. (He also got a card and money from Grandma and Grandpa Carter in the mail on his birthday)
