Madi and I were up early this Saturday morning so we could go check out the super yard sale at Silverado. We got there at about 7:30. Looked around, but didn't find anything we wanted. Bought a couple things from the bake sale just so we didn't leave empty handed. We went over to Home Depot next so Madi could buy paint for her bedroom. She went with the Glidden White On White eggshell paint and got the rest of the supplies she needed... brushes, a tray, tape and plastic floor covering.
We went to Goodwill next. The one on Dean Martin because we thought it might have more stuff, but it didn't. Just a bunch of bins with clothes piled up in them and random stuff lining the walls. We found a wood chair for 99 cents that we couldn't pass up. We were going to hit up DI next but after driving half way there, we realized it didn't open for another hour. So we came home.
At 11:30 we (all of us minus Kenzie) met my parents, Dave, Mason (Jen and Grace were at a tournament in AZ) and the Meltons (plus their niece Kassidy at Claim Jumper. We were celebrating the February birthdays. Me, Madi and Posie (who turned FOUR today - i made her a sticker album and got a few packs of stickers to go with it).
It's probably a little pricier than our normal get-togethers, but it was nice to have everyone at one big long table where we were forced to be together and talk. Usually everyone is off doing their own thing.
I got the Black Tie Chicken pasta, Darric got meatloaf and potatoes, Madison got the chicken pot pie and Max ordered ribs off the kid's menu. His were itty bitty compared to the Fred Flinstone style ribs Matt ordered. When we were all finally finished eating, our waiter brought out three little cakes to all the birthday people. I gave mine to Piper and Kassidy to share.
We had to hurry out after that because at 2:00, Dave and Chase were picking up Darric and Max and going to the UNLV basketball game against San Jose state. They said there weren't very many people there. Which is probably why they stayed for the entire game.
While they were gone, I ordered The Girl On the Train off Amazon to watch. It was good, just not as good as I thought it was going to be. Zoe came over to help Madi paint her bedroom. (I think they ended up getting more paint on themselves than on the walls) I had to make a trip back over to Home Depot to get more paint, then picked up Burger King for the girls.
Kenzie arrived back at Town Square around 6:30 and Darric and I were there to pick her up. Her neck, elbow and back were sore. She didn't play in this tournament at all. Lydia played a little bit at the beginning, but that was it. Their team still ended up winning 3-0. Kenzie and Jaylynn had their own room last night and for dinner, they ate at Panera.
