MON | 03 Today was the day. Madi finally got her braces off this morning at 8:50. She was very worried going in that they were going to tell her she wasn't ready. But everything looked good and those brackets were popped off one by one before Dr. Truman came and sanded the glue off her teeth. She got her bag of goodies (that she was supposed to avoid with braces on) and we came home. She picked Port of Subs for lunch and at 11:30 I dropped her off at school (she had a quiz in one of her classes she couldn't miss).
A little while later, Darric texted me that he was getting lightning and hail on the northwest part of town. I had blue skies out my window. But, by the time I went to pick the girls up from school, his dark grey clouds were moving our way. With them came wind and some rain (we didn't get any hail though). And by the time I picked Max up, it was already on it's way past us. Just a quick afternoon storm.
Madi had a boys' game at Liberty that evening. Kenzie worked until 5:00 and then we picked her up and headed straight to Durango. Her team was scrimmaging some girls from Australia. Darric was hoping we were going to get to see a good fight tonight, but the other team was just OK. We got done there at 8:00 and rushed home to pick Madison up from the school. Her bus got there just before we did. We picked up Laurita's and came home to eat.
TUE | 04 Max had soccer practice tonight. Darric and I couldn't get over how often the coach talked about how good his son was and how he was making a sacrifice being the goalie (we think he's goalie because he is one of the slowest runners on the field #justsaying).
WED | 05 Kenzie worked again today. (she works four days this week). I picked her up at 5:00 and we went straight out to Durango for her practice. Madi had another boys' game at Silverado tonight. I picked her up when she was done and then Darric and I went together to pick Kenzie up.
THU | 06 I went grocery shopping at Wal Mart this morning. Big mistake. They are redoing things again in there. Today they had a section of the aisles moved to the middle of the store and then another section blocked off where they were working on the floor. So I couldn't get the cheese and nuts that I needed. Darric didn't get home from work until 9:00 tonight. So that meant I had to pick the girls up from work (they both went in today), drop Madi off at home, run Kenzie to Durango, come home, pick Max up and take him to practice. Find out Kenzie will be done 30 minutes early tonight, so we have to leave Max's practice at 7:30 so we could get to Kenzie by 8:00.
FRI | 07 I ran to the mall to get Darric a new wallet for his Birthday. I got him a Fossil one this time. From there I went over to Blaze Pizza and met up with my mom, Jodie, Posie, Jen and Jacob. He's here this week for spring break. Madi stayed after school for boys' practice. Then at 7:30 that night, Darric and I took Max to a soccer training thing put on by the Southern Nevada Soccer Association. (It's a four week long program) It was at Anthem Hills park and went until 8:15. Darric really liked how the coaches taught the kids.
SAT | 08 Max had a soccer game at 2:00 today at Anthem Hills. Both girls came to watch (mainly because we were taking them to the mall afterwards). It was SO windy outside. Max ended up playing the entire game because there were only 8 kids there this week, so no subs. They didn't lose this week, they tied... 5-5. We were in charge of snacks. We brought orange slices for half time and Z bars and Gatorades for after.
We went straight to the mall when the game was over. The girls went off on their own, the rest of us looked around in Dicks for a little while and then we went over to Floor & Decor and the Home Depot to look at tile and countertops. We came back to the mall to get the girls and picked up Panda on our way home.
SUN | 09 We went to the Bertrand's today to celebrate Darric's birthday. I made mac + cheese and ham + cheese sliders. Jan made funeral potatoes. We got to eat at Jan's new table (their other newer one wasn't working out for them). After we ate, Darian was sent to the store to get blinker fluid for his car. Kenzie went with him and Jan asked her to record it, thinking Kenzie knew there was probably no such thing as blinker fluid. She wasn't in the know though and was going to wait until after he got it to record him with his big boy purchase.
